APWA - Southern CA Chapter Public Agency Spotlight - The City of Anaheim is taking a strategic approach to fighting graffiti by covering areas with artificial ivy that are consistently tagged with graffiti.

Ivy-It™ has been working with municipalities like Anaheim, Lynwood ,La Puente and Pico Rivera, in aiding their graffiti deterrent efforts and hence reducing their graffiti abatement cost.

The concept is simple: anchor life-like synthetic ivy to existing graffiti prone walls,fencing and mechanical boxes. Therefore deterring graffiti and adding an aesthetic appeal.

Ivy-It test sites in the progressive City of Anaheim have already proven themselves worthy of the company's claims. These test sites have produced no graffiti and even aided Anaheim Police in apprehending taggers on the 5 Freeway.

This environmentally innovative approach has proven itself as a cost effective tool in deterring graffiti.
